For the present recording, a copy of the original edition was used, and the Library of Congress score (Washington) served as the source for choice of registrations, which were all transferred to the Saint-Bonaventure organ as directly as possible. Additionally, a photocopy of the original manuscript was consulted, allowing the correction of several errors in the published score.

For this album, Daniel Sáñez followed the styles of organ music played and heard in Europe from the Renaissance into the 20th century. The remarkably fine Choir Organ erected in the chancel of the Cathedral in 2022, and the continuo organ also received in 2022, motivate this recording.
